White-label community platforms: what they cost in 2026
You can run a community on your own domain, with your own colors and branding, without paying $89 to $143 a month for it. Here is what a white-label community platform really is, what the options cost, and how we keep it affordable at Meplio.
Almost everyone who starts a paid community wants it to feel like theirs. Their name on the door, their colors, their web address, a place that looks like something they built rather than a page rented from someone else with a logo dropped on top.
Getting there has cost more than it should. The community tools that let you use your own domain and remove their branding tend to start at $89 a month with Circle and run up to $143 a month with Kajabi. The cheaper, better known names keep the price low by keeping you on their address, so visitors land on skool.com/your-name instead of yours.
This guide is a plain walk through what “white-label” really means on a community platform, what each piece is worth, what the market charges for it, and how we approach it at Meplio. The prices below link to each platform’s own pricing page so you can check them yourself.
What is a white-label community platform?
A white-label community platform lets you run your community entirely under your own brand instead of the vendor’s. At the least that means your own domain, your logo and colors, your landing page, and no platform branding on the page. Members should see your brand, not the tool behind it.
When a platform calls itself white-label, that can mean a little or a lot, so it helps to name the parts your members actually see:
- Your web address. yourbrand.com, not a shared link with the platform’s name in it.
- Your colors. One brand color across the buttons, links, and highlights.
- Your landing page. The page new people arrive on, with your headline, your description, and your price to join.
- Your logo and favicon. The mark in the corner and the small icon in the browser tab.
- No sign of the platform. No “powered by” line, nothing that tells a visitor which tool you used.
A custom domain is only the first of those. Some tools hand you the domain on a lower plan but keep their own branding on the page until you upgrade, so it pays to look past the words “custom domain” to how much of the rest is included.

How much does a white-label community platform cost?
On the established tools, full brand control starts at about $89 a month with Circle and $143 a month with Kajabi. Skool is a flat $99 a month but has no custom domain at all. Mighty Networks keeps a transaction fee on every sale. Patreon is the cheap outlier, though its page still looks like Patreon.
Here is where each one lands, as listed in mid-2026:
- Circle includes a custom domain on its Professional plan at $89 a month.
- Kajabi adds a custom domain from its Basic plan at $143 a month, and removing Kajabi’s own branding needs a higher plan again.
- Skool is a single flat plan at around $99 a month, and your community lives at skool.com/your-name with no option to use your own domain.
- Mighty Networks offers branding on its paid plans but keeps a 1 to 3 percent transaction fee on everything you sell.
- Patreon has no monthly fee and now supports a custom domain, but the page itself still looks like Patreon, so it covers the address without the rest of the brand.

How Meplio keeps it affordable
We built Meplio to put that same brand control at the bottom of the price range instead of the top. Your own custom domain, your colors, and your landing page are included for free. There is no monthly plan to buy.
Instead of a large flat monthly fee, you pay a small platform fee: 5 percent of your member payments, on top of the standard Stripe processing of 2.9 percent and 30 cents that every platform passes through. That difference matters most at the start. When a handful of early members bring in $200 a month, Meplio costs about $10 in platform fee, and nothing before that. The plans that begin at $89 to $143 charge their full fee before you have earned a cent. A percentage fee does grow with your revenue, which is the trade for starting at zero, but you only ever pay it on money you have actually made.
- Your own custom domain
- Your colors, landing page, and design
- No monthly plan, no caps on members
What you actually get
Meplio is a full community platform, not a branding wrapper. Alongside the white-label pieces you get a discussion feed, live chat, a classroom with courses and quizzes, events, and paid membership tiers you can gate by role.
- A custom domain, included free. Connect yourbrand.com without buying a plan or reaching a top tier.
- Your colors, landing page, and banners. Set your accent color, edit your public landing page, and upload your own channel and classroom banners.
- Your brand on the page, not ours. Your domain, colors, and landing page are yours, so visitors land on your community rather than a page that looks like ours.
- No monthly plan. You never pay a subscription. The only cost is a 5 percent platform fee on member payments, and payouts go to your bank through Stripe.

Who Meplio is for
Meplio suits independent creators and small teams who want a genuinely branded home on their own domain without a heavy monthly bill.
It is a younger platform than Circle or Kajabi. If your plan depends on native white-label mobile apps in the app stores, or on plugging into a large existing network of members from day one, a heavier platform will serve you better. If you want your own domain, your own brand, and a low cost to begin, that is the case we built for.
Common questions
Is a custom domain the same as white-label?
No. The domain is one piece of it. Full white-label also means your colors, your landing page, and no platform branding anywhere on the page. Some tools give you the domain on a lower plan but keep their own branding until you move to a higher one.
Do I have to remove the platform's branding myself?
On Meplio your community runs on your own domain with your own colors and landing page, so visitors see your brand rather than ours, and there is no plan to upgrade to for it. The main place our name still shows today is the login email a member receives when they sign in. On several other tools, branding removal is tied to a more expensive plan, so it is worth checking which plan includes it before you commit.
What is the cheapest community platform with a custom domain?
Among the well-known tools, Circle includes a custom domain from $89 a month. Meplio includes one for free, with no monthly plan at all, which is the lowest starting price we know of for a genuine custom-domain community platform.
Can I charge for membership on my own domain?
Yes. On Meplio you set monthly membership tiers and gate channels, courses, and events by role, all on your own domain. Payments and payouts run through Stripe (2.9% and 30 cents per transaction), with money going straight to your bank.
